Fletcher Anderson

Veterinary Assistant

Hello, my name is Fletcher Anderson, and I’m a Veterinary Assistant at Best Friends Animal Hospital. I began my career in veterinary medicine in April 2025, and I’m grateful that this clinic is where I’ve had the opportunity to learn, grow, and start building my professional foundation. Every day offers something new, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such a supportive and welcoming team.

Why I Chose This Profession

My passion for animals started early in life. Ever since I was nine years old, I knew I wanted to work in veterinary medicine. I grew up spending time on my grandparents’ farm, helping care for their rabbits, chickens, horses, and cattle. Those experiences made a lasting impact, teaching me responsibility, compassion, and just how much joy comes from helping animals. That childhood connection is still what drives me today in my current role as a veterinary assistant.

My Favorite Part of My Job

One of my favorite parts of my job is seeing puppies and kittens come in for their first visits and then watching them grow with each booster appointment. It’s such a fun journey watching their personalities develop over time.

I also love assisting during surgery days and being part of a patient’s healing process. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a pet return for a recheck and hearing from the owner how much better they’re doing. Knowing I played even a small role in helping uncover what was wrong and supporting their recovery truly means a lot to me.

Personal Hobbies and Interests

At home, my life revolves around my two dogs, Coal and Ace, who are absolutely my fur babies. They’re a huge reason I chose this profession and work so hard to give other pets quality care.
