Veterinary Assistant
Hi, my name is Jasmine. I have worked in veterinary medicine since 2017, gaining extensive experience in emergency care, surgery, and shelter medicine. I'm currently continuing my education to become a Certified Veterinary Technician, a step I’m excited to take as I continue advancing my skills and growing as a veterinary professional.
I studied General Education at Northwest Florida State College, and I also hold a Registered Pharmacy Technician certification from Pharmacy Technicians University (2025). Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of clinical settings — from emergency medicine to surgical care to rescue and rehabilitation — which has strengthened both my technical abilities and my commitment to compassionate patient care.
Why I Chose This Profession
I chose veterinary medicine because I want to advocate for and protect as many animals as I can. Every patient deserves someone in their corner, and being that voice — and that source of comfort — is something I care deeply about. Helping animals through some of their most vulnerable moments is both a responsibility and an honor.
My Favorite Part of My Job
My favorite part of my job is connecting with the wide variety of patients we see and playing a role in their healing process. Whether it’s helping stabilize an emergency case, assisting in surgery, or supporting animals on their journey to recovery and adoption, I value being part of a team that makes a real difference in their lives.
My special interests include wound care management and surgery assistance. I enjoy the precision, focus, and teamwork involved in both areas, as well as the satisfaction of seeing visible healing and improvement in my patients. I also love working with our feline patients — they bring a lot of charm and personality to the office!
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, I enjoy crafting, attending car shows and meets, playing video games, and cooking.
At home, I spoil my six pets: five cats — Kovu, Waldo, Skippyjon Jones, Guppy, and Bob Todd — and one French Bulldog, Kratos. They each have their own personalities, quirks, and routines, and they’re a huge part of why I remain so passionate about animal care.
