Logan Gary

Office Manager

Hello! I'm Logan, and I'm the Office Manager at Best Friends Animal Hospital. I began my career in healthcare as a first responder in the U.S. Coast Guard and later worked with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) as a Medical Person in Charge aboard offshore vessels. I have been honored to receive two U.S. Coast Guard Commandant’s Letters of Commendation in recognition of my service.

After moving from New York to Florida, I attended Gulf Coast State College to study Veterinary Medicine while working as a receptionist and overnight ICU technician. I later returned offshore with the NOAA in deck operations while continuing to serve in a medical leadership capacity. Following my time with the NOAA, I transitioned fully into veterinary medicine, working as a technician at Urgent Care Vet in Panama City, where I was promoted to Clinical Coordinator.

Today, I’m proud to lead the team at Best Friends Animal Hospital and use my medical knowledge and leadership skills to serve pets and pet owners in the Freeport community.

Why I Chose This Profession

I chose this profession because of my deep love for medicine and my passion for helping those who cannot help themselves. Whether in human or veterinary medicine, I have always felt called to serve, advocate, and provide care in high-pressure environments where compassion and skill matter most.

My Favorite Part of My Job

My favorite part of my job is leading teams to success. I enjoy building efficient, supportive systems that allow veterinary teams to deliver the highest level of patient care while feeling confident, empowered, and supported in their roles.

I'm passionate about emergency medicine, phlebotomy, and improving patient care through tailored protocols that enhance outcomes and overall quality of treatment.

Personal Hobbies and Interests

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my fiancée, Laura, and taking our dachshunds on new adventures. Exploring, relaxing, and making memories with family is how I recharge. I also share my home with two miniature long-haired dachshunds, Wilson and Freddie, who are always ready for the next adventure with me!
